Director, FP&A

IO’s Finance, Technology, and Lending Enterprise Team ensures that IO is a financially efficient and effectively managed organization and that the agency’s finances are monitored, reported, and managed appropriately. The team also manages the infrastructure lending program, which has supported more than $15 billion in local infrastructure development, and IO’s Information Technology and Business Services, providing tools and systems to ensure secure, effective, and efficient operations.

In this new position of Director, FP&A, reporting into the VP, FP&A, you will have the exciting opportunity to own both the full cycle annual business planning and budget process, and manage the systems, tools, and processes to provide accurate and timely reporting for strategic decision making purposes.

What you will do:

  • Develop and operationalize the annual business planning process that supports the execution of IO’s longer term strategic plan.
  • Develop and operationalize the annual budgeting exercise that is informed by the annual business planning process that supports IO’s execution and achievement of the strategic plan.
  • Operationalize a quarterly 6 quarter forecasting process and analytics that provides insightful forward-looking analysis to inform decision making.
  • Lead, and develop a high performing team of finance professionals.

What we are looking for:

  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning and Analysis roles
  • An MBA or CPA designation is required.
  • Prior experience running an enterprise level planning, budgeting and forecasting process for large and complex organization.
  • Excellent written communication and the ability to create executive/board level reports – presentations
  • Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills, and the ability to visualize data to convey analytical insights.
  • Experience in the development and implementation of new business metrics that allow business teams to measure their ability to scale, and demonstrate their efficiency and operating leverage.
