    New TecumsethThe Project

In 2009, New Tecumseth was in need of various road improvements and a new fire pumper rescue vehicle was also required.

The Tottenham Community Centre was also in need of renovation and expansion. The addition of a new 19,500 square foot wing, as well as renovations to the existing gymnasium were needed to better serve the needs of the growing community.

    The Solution

The Town of New Tecumseth turned to Infrastructure Ontario’s Loan Program for a $3.4 million loan to help finance its improvement projects. Infrastructure Ontario was able to provide the Town with an affordable, long-term financing solution which allowed it to acquire the necessary equipment and complete the much needed renovations.

“The Infrastructure Ontario Loan Program has provided our Town with an affordable financing alternative for the upgrading and renewal of our infrastructure. Rates are very competitive which result in substantial savings over the term of the loan. We have utilized the Loan Program in the past and will certainly be considering the program as a viable financing option for our future needs.”
