Senior Business Analyst

IO’s Finance, Technology, and Lending Enterprise Team ensures that IO is a financially efficient and effectively managed organization and that the agency’s finances are monitored, reported, and managed appropriately. The team also manages the infrastructure lending program, which has supported more than $18 billion in local infrastructure development, and IO’s Information Technology and Business Services, providing tools and systems to ensure secure, effective, and efficient operations.

Position Purpose:

In this role, internally known as IT Business Partner, you will be responsible for acting as a key relationship manager for IT and the dedicated business groups and is pivotal to identify, assess, and execute IT solutions to enable strategic and tactical objectives.

What You Will Do:

• Collaborate with business groups to proactively identify improvement opportunities and assessment of solution options.
• Articulate and document business requirements through facilitated sessions with participants at all levels.
• Perform vendor and solution assessments.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to identify and evaluate optimal technology design solutions.
• Accountable for successful execution of projects (both within business groups and enterprise wide).
• Oversee a cross-functional team and support the delivery of IT solutions to enable business outcomes.

Who We’re Looking For:

• A post-secondary degree combined with a minimum of 10 years’ hands on business analysis experience on technology projects, applying best practices.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize competing demands in a dynamic, complex, fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical abilities and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to communicate technical requirements to non-technical professionals in a simple manner.
• Proven experience with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, business analysis best practices, business case development, requirements / use case creation and testing plan and test case development.
