Non-profit Sports and Recreation Organizations
Since 2011, IO has partnered with Non-Profit Sports and Recreation Organizations to help provide access to affordable financing for capital investments.
Eligibility
Organizations must be, or be a member of, a sport organization recognized by the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport (MTCS). A list of MTCS recognized organizations is provided in the program guidelines.
Eligible organizations also include non-profit organizations that provide a recreation facility such as: swimming pools, arenas, sport specific courts, sports fields, parks, or multi-purpose facilities. For more information on eligibility requirements, please see the program guidelines. (PDF)
Eligible Projects
IO loans can be used for investment, construction or renovation of any owned capital asset, including:
- Facility expansion, renovation and retrofits or acquisition
- Accessibility improvements
Rates and Terms
IO’s lending rates provide equitable access to affordable financing for all clients. Please contact your
Relationship Manager for today’s rate information. Non-profit Sports and Recreation Organizations may select repayment terms of 5 to 25 years, to match the life of the capital asset.
