Senior Budget Analyst


Our Procurement and Program Management division provides professional support and commercial advice to all parts of the organization through the services it provides, including procurement, data analytics, budgeting, and performance management. The Procurement office is a global leader among public sector entities in the procurement of large capital infrastructure projects. The Program Management office ensures consistency and synergy among the capital project cost estimation, budgeting and financial forecasting, quality, process control, continuous improvement, compliance and governance, reporting and analytics functions across the enterprise.

This role will appeal to an individual with a passion for project budgets looking for an opportunity to work in highly technical and complex project environment. 

What You Will Do

  • Lead capital project budgeting processes, practices and methodology to provide on-going data management
  • Research and analysis for the budgeting function of the Project Delivery program, with emphasis on the P3 as well as the Subway portfolio and renewal of approach for a project delivery service line
  • You will implement changes and improvements to operational reporting for P3 and non P3 projects with respect to budget data (transaction, construction, operations), and client ministry budget templates, guidelines, and change methodologies and changes as a result of governance frameworks

Who We're Looking For

  • You will have an education related to budgeting/budget governance/project budgeting
  • A minimum of 2 years working in a capital planning role
  • You will be an excellent communicator
  • Have the ability to effectively exercise judgement and use qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex comprehensive data/information to support decision-making and issue resolution in a concise and easily digestible manner for a non-financial audience
