Client Program Planning Manager

Our Real Estate division manages the province’s portfolio of government buildings and land, which is one of the largest and most diverse in the country. We oversee the day-to-day operation and long-term maintenance of these facilities through partnerships with private-sector service providers. We are responsible for ensuring provincially-owned real estate is being used in the best, most optimal way. Finding innovative ways to reduce and revitalize the government’s building and land holdings is central to our business and integral to the value we provide Ontarians.

What You Will Do

  • Direct interaction with Program Area Representatives within the Ministry and IO on review and development of Ministry programs for new buildings, LHIs or studies. Plan and develop accurate project plans for release to IO Regions that address cost and schedule efficiencies, have streamlined delivery methodology and achieve client satisfaction.
  • Monitor and action any ongoing Client program delivery needs against approved infrastructure plan budgets.
  • Coordinate planning of the delivery of Client funded projects with the Capital Repair Plan through meetings with
  • Clients Ministries, Operations and Project Services.
  • Point of escalation on re-occurring or urgent Ministry project/ program issues. 

Who We're Looking For

  • 5 years+ experience managing all aspects of project implementation.
  • Post secondary degree or diploma in project management, architecture, engineering, interior design, or a related field.
  • PMP certification or eligibility for acceptance.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills to assess requirements and respond to client issues.
  • Superior customer service and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with senior level clients and service providers.

Employment in the Real Estate Division is conditional upon obtaining security clearance through the Program & Policy Enablement Branch, Supply Chain Ontario of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
