Contract Coordinator


Our Real Estate division manages the province’s portfolio of government buildings and land, which is one of the largest and most diverse in the country. We oversee the day-to-day operation and long-term maintenance of these facilities through partnerships with private-sector service providers. We are responsible for ensuring provincially-owned real estate is being used in the best, most optimal way. Finding innovative ways to reduce and revitalize the government’s building and land holdings is central to our business and integral to the value we provide Ontarians.

What You Will Do

  • Review Property and Land Management Service Provider (PLMSP) submissions of the annual operating budgets, capital investment programs and other documents as required for completeness and accuracy.
  • Monitor performance of service providers to ensure work is delivered in accordance with the master services agreement and the service level agreements.
  • Support, build and maintain working relationships with internal and external peers and clients, ministry clients and the service provider.
  • Assist and participate on PLMSP Work stream teams including creating and updating field guides and documenting achievement of annual deliverables
  • Support Managers and Director in oversight and governance, including supporting development, recommendation, and implementation for Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), annual deliverables, and audit reviews
  • Support development and implementation of IOs Quality Management System 

Who We're Looking For

  • Post Secondary diploma in a related discipline with a concentration in real estate management - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent. 
  • A minimum of three years of experience in commercial property/building management or governance/contract management.
  • Experience in contract management and outsourced governance.
    Good understanding of facility operations as a business, including leasing, maintenance, tenant relations and general administration and reporting.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a clear understanding of business practices; comfort dealing with technical, legal and financial data.
  • Understanding of facility operations, including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and other building systems and related codes and regulations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to work effectively within diverse teams of specialists across multiple sectors.

Employment in the Real Estate Division is conditional upon obtaining security clearance through the Program & Policy Enablement Branch, Supply Chain Ontario of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
