Contract Manager


 

Our Real Estate division manages the province’s portfolio of government buildings and land, which is one of the largest and most diverse in the country. We oversee the day-to-day operation and long-term maintenance of these facilities through partnerships with private-sector service providers. We are responsible for ensuring provincially-owned real estate is being used in the best, most optimal way. Finding innovative ways to reduce and revitalize the government’s building and land holdings is central to our business and integral to the value we provide Ontarians.

Internally, this position will be known as Portfolio Real Estate Manager, PLMS Contract Management.

What You Will Do

  • Monitoring and supporting the Property and Land Management Services (PLMS) contract through participation in outsourced governance and contract management initiatives and oversight of external service providers.
  • Oversight and Governance, including supporting in the development, recommendation, and implementation for Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), annual deliverables, and Internal Audit reviews and updates on previous Audit plans.
  • Ensure that a high quality of service from our PLMS Provider is provided, working closely with them to direct and manage ensuring the value of the assets is optimized
  • Prepare business cases and reports, and effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.

 Who We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Commerce with a concentration in real estate asset management - or a combination of education, training and experience deemed equivalent
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in managing large multi-property portfolios.
  • Possess solid experience in contract management and outsource governance on a comprehensive portfolio of buildings.
  • Have an understanding of facility operations as a business, including leasing, maintenance, tenant relations and general administration and reporting.
  • Advanced organization and project management skills with a focused attitude, and solid interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills combined with sound verbal and written communications skills.
  • Certification in property management or any other applicable designations are also an asset.
  • Understanding / experience with coordination of legal matters is also considered an asset.
