Real Estate Analyst


Our Real Estate division manages the province’s portfolio of government buildings and land, which is one of the largest and most diverse in the country. We oversee the day-to-day operation and long-term maintenance of these facilities through partnerships with private-sector service providers. We are responsible for ensuring provincially-owned real estate is being used in the best, most optimal way. Finding innovative ways to reduce and revitalize the government’s building and land holdings is central to our business and integral to the value we provide Ontarians.

The Office Portfolio Strategy team is a critical part of our Real Estate Division, responsible for all strategic office real estate advice, recommendations, deliverables and reporting.

What You Will Do

  • The Real Estate Analyst, Client Advisory Services is a pivotal role providing reporting, business case analysis, data management and research to support the team
  • You will have the opportunity to provide relevant and timely analysis and business analytics on the portfolio to provide strategic advice for government assets
  • The Analyst is expected to remain knowledgeable on government and real estate trends, and analyze data sources including new sources and reporting for the Client Advisory Services team

Who We're Looking For

  • You must have a bachelor's degree (Real Estate, Business, Finance or equivalent);
  • Experience in financial modeling and financial analysis such as NPV, Cost Benefit, Cash flow and Payback methodologies
  • Knowledge in real estate asset management fundamentals, markets and trends; and excellent reporting skills Experience with manipulating databases, creating reports and developing processes

To be successful in this role, you must have excellent analytical skills to research, synthesize, and analyze complex data for senior level decision makers, solid communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to present complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Excellent interpersonal skills and a proven ability to build positive relationships and deal effectively with external and internal stakeholders and a customer/client focused attitude, collaborative style and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment of an evolving organization is also required.

Employment in the Real Estate Division is conditional upon obtaining security clearance through the Program & Policy Enablement Branch, Supply Chain Ontario of the Ministry of Government and Consumer Services.
