Database Analyst (12 months fixed-term)


Our Corporate Services division consists of Human Resources, Information Technology, and Business Services and is responsible for ensuring that the agency is able to attract and retain a talented and highly-engaged workforce within an environment that encourages and enables staff to deliver IO’s mandate through programs, processes, and tools that align with the needs of the organization.

The Database Analyst will develop, implement (design, code, test) and maintain the organization's data, reporting, and information strategy ensuring compatibility with the overall business strategy of the organization. To support Business Intelligence initiatives, this role will be involved in the creation of appropriate data structures, operating the data warehouse product and converting requirements into an architecture and design for enterprise solutions, solving business problems through strategy.

The successful candidate will have a computer science degree along with professional experience in database design and software development, proficiency in designing and developing integration processes utilizing SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and Azure Data Factory. They will also have experience in systems design and a solid understanding of development, testing, evaluation procedures, quality assurance, and project methodologies. The candidate should have experience with reporting and BI solutions such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI, as well as a deep knowledge of SQL Azure (PaaS). Experience with Azure Data Warehouse is an asset.
