Project Coordinator - Direct Delivery


 

Our Major Projects division is responsible for delivering some of the province’s largest and most important public infrastructure projects. Our made-in-Ontario approach to modern project delivery has resulted in over 100 major projects brought to market and made Ontario a global leader in infrastructure development. Projects have included new hospitals, highways, transit systems, and courthouses. We have a track record of delivering new projects on time and on budget while meeting high standards for design, quality, and health and safety.

The Project Coordinator role will be an integral part of a team of professionals overseeing the execution of ministry funded and capital projects that deliver the Ontario government's needs for infrastructure investment, maintenance and renewal across the provincial portfolio. In this role, you will provide support in the management of various groups of internal and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met, coordinating all aspects of the assigned project including procurement of external vendors, consultants and contractors and invoice processing.

You will monitor and provide timely and accurate schedule and budget information required for reporting on projects as well as prepare draft letters, technical reports and presentation material as assigned by the Director.

We are interested in hearing from you if you have:  a post-secondary education, in Project/Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field and have a solid knowledge of design, construction and contract management. You also are able to read and interpret construction documents and building specifications.

You will have at least 5 years of experience in coordinating all aspects of project implementation including contract administration, scope changes and other contractual items on projects, effectively coordinating diverse teams of project consultants and contractors. You possess superior analytical skills, customer service and interpersonal skills to establish and maintain client relationships.

You must be proficient in the Microsoft suite of products and other commonly used systems in project management
